Do you have a paid account? I was going to wait until later in April to buy one, but if it has different (ie, acceptable) themes, I'll totally fork it over now. I just have three themes with the free account and none of them are...uh, doing it for me.
EXACTLY. I figure early Summer, something will be happening with the aesthetics in this joint. Let 'em get the...you know, bones and muscles functional, and then there will be a shiny exoskeleton.
To address your other comments, there will be new styles as the styles team gets through the work of modifying things to work with core2. There should be much more done by the time open beta hits.
In the meantime, there is a new alternative to Negatives which is the current default. Go to Select Style (also accessible from the Organise menu) and pick Zesty. It's much more readable than Negatives, I feel. Be aware that it may still be buggy, as it only just got added. and was not vetted by the Styles team.
If you feel like digging around more, then this tutorial may be of interest to you. It gives instructions on how to bring over a style from LJ or other LJ-based site; note that this style will be in core1, still, so you won't have the advantages of core2 -- but you may find it a lot more comfortable.
